There has been an ample number of cases in the recent past, that came to light involving these unregulated agents, who are being used by private colleges in Canada to romp in un-suspecting students, who are aspiring to make their careers in Canada. Also, it is not just these deceitful agents, included in this fraudulent game are companies like IDP, which is a recognized English language IELTS test provider. IDP has now ventured into the business of student enrollment to colleges in Canada, with the language test (IELTS) as mandatory for enrolling students from India under SDS (student direct stream) category, IDP centers from northern India have been implicated in providing fake IELTS scores or providing the students with the material before the exam begins.
Besides, the criminal enterprise operating within the international student enrollment business, there is another big mafia, that is helping these agents with fake educational certificates and employment certificates, which in turn are used for aspiring students, who otherwise would not qualify to make it to Canada as an international student.
Caught in this vicious cycle of international student enrollment, are the parents of the aspiring students, who pledge every bit of their life earnings, including their immovable properties to generate funds for their kids’ Canadian overseas educational plans.
