Canadian Experience Class (CEC): This program was created in the year 2008, which allows graduates from post-secondary institutions and temporary foreign workers (TFW’s), with Canadian work experience to transition to permanent resident status.
CEC, yet another class of immigrants who can become economically established in Canada based on the work experience they gained working for Canadian employers. The requirements to qualify for this category is to own at least twelve months of full-time work (or an equal amount in part-time work), from the occupations listed in skill type 0 or skill level A or B of the NOC matrix, that has been gained within past 36 months, which should include in the performance of the actions described within the lead statement along with a performance of the substantial number of the main duties and essential duties of the occupation within the occupational description of the NOC matrix. Also, must meet the language requirements based on the NOC matrix.
