Canadian Government implements Key Measures with Govt of Quebec to address Job shortages.

Province of Quebec experiences long standing workforce recruitment challenges ti build a strong workforce.Employers can hire upto 20%.The occupation and sectors selected by Quebec for pilot measures are in consultation with labour market stakeholders, part of the Commission des Partenaires du Marche du Travail.

The governments of Canada and Quebec will add to the list of occupations currently benefitting fron a simpler process to hire TFW’s Alongside launching these new pilot measures, ESDC is working to rebuild the TFW Compliance regime to strengthen its risk based approach to target higher Employers include

1. TFW inspection tools and training to strengthen the quality and time lines.

2.Workers allowed to flag any situation of abuse or misuse of the pressures

3.Expands to concierge service with consultates to identify concerns that require immediate focus.

The pilot project will help recruit more temporary foreign workers and reduce the pressures on their operations. Minister of Agriculture and Agrofood,Marie Claude Bibeau.
