CAPIC’s official meeting with Minister Mendicino with an agenda on ‘The Usage of Artificial Intelligence in Canadian Immigration’; the current and potential impact of COVID-19 on international students; the Education Partner Program; and the regulator transition from ICCRC to College and Lulwa Al Hidiq, CAPIC Chair spoke about the discussion on their Policy Position and the impact of AI on the future of immigration in Canada.
Minister Mendicino acknowledged the importance of international students in Canada concerning the unscrupulous advice given to students by unauthorized agents and the vital role of AI in the processing of immigration applications for Canada.
He wishes to address issues with CAPIC to ensure students get professional advice and as a recognized partner and collaborator of the IRCC, CAPIC has a strong voice with policy change in immigration and citizenship portfolios.Mendicino plans to reach Canada’s annual immigration targets with new parameters whilst CORONA tumbled the entire globe generating many immigration challenges. One of the new challenges is the minister’s priorities.
