Immigration Refugee & Citizenship Canada has announced the latest round of Express Entry results falling under the targeted Occupations-related draw, which it announced in May of 2023.
The recent draws announced during the month of December 2023 started with French Language professionals on Dec. 7th, 2023, where the CRS score stood at 470 with a total of 1000 ITA’s issued. This was followed by a STEM draw announced on Dec 8th, 2023, where the CRS score stood at 481, and the total number of ITAs issued was 5900. The third draw was on Dec. 19th, 2023, for Trades Occupation, where the CRS score stood at 425, and the total number of ITA’s was 1000; the fourth Draw was on 20th Dec. 2023, for Transport Occupation, the CRS score was 435, and the total number of ITA’s were 670. The fifth and final draw for the Targeted group was for the Agriculture and Agri-food occupation, where the CRS score was 386, and the total number of ITAs was 400. Health Care occupation did not appear in this iteration, although the last draw in the Health care sector was on Oct. 26th, 2023, where the CRS score was 431 and the total number of ITA’s stood at 3600.
There was only one draw for the General Category held on Dec 6th, 2023. The CRS score was 561, and the total number of ITAs issued was 4750. The next likely draw in the new year would be for Health Care Sector followed by the General category, if the prior draws are of any indication. Many in the General Category are watching for the CRS score to drop below the 500 mark, which will open the pathways for many applicants sitting in the bracket of 480 and 500 range of CRS scores.
