Citizenship and Immigration Canada has announced a new round of Express Entry Draw targeting healthcare-specific occupations on 26th Oct 2023. There was a steep hike in the number of ITA’s issued in this round which stood at 3600, and also the CRS cutoff score of 437 came down 26 points compared to the last Express Entry draw #255 targeting Healthcare sector workers held on July 5th, 2023.
This is the third round of the Express Entry draw targeting the Healthcare Occupation stream, the first one held on June 8th, 2023, with a total number of ITA’s stood at 500 and a CRS cutoff score was 476. The Second round was born on July 5th, 2023, the total ITA’s stood at 1500, and the CRS cutoff score was 463. The third round was held yesterday, i.e. 26th October 2023, where the total ITA’s stood at 3600 and the CRS score was 437.
This news should be familiar to all those currently in the Express Entry pool and many prospective applicants planning to create their EE profile, given the Canadian Federal and Provincial government’s desire to provide pathways to Healthcare sector workers into the Canadian workforce. Applicants with a Healthcare background and a STEM background will have more preference over applicants in the EE pool falling out of the HealthCare and STEM category stream.
