This news could not have come at a better time for many Canadian across the country not just BC, considering the state of affairs of the healthcare sector in Canada. The news from Nova Scotia, where a woman who went to a local hospital for emergency treatment was made to for a long period of time, which ultimately resulted in her death.

We also keep hearing time and again that many foreign-trained doctors and nurses, who migrate to Canada with the hope advance their medical careers, were never given a chance to integrate into the system in a timely fashion. This is causing a big number of foreign-trained medical practitioners like doctors and nurses to wait in the system, ultimately ending up in jobs not relating to the healthcare sector.

Politicians and the medical regulatory bodies in Canada have to take a closer look as to why foreign-trained medical practitioners are able to integrate at a much faster rate in the United States but it is not done at the same pace in Canada. There is no justification, for the policymaker’s decision not to provide a quick pathway to foreign-trained doctors and nurses into the Canadian healthcare sector, while the ailing Canadians who are desperately seeking medical help are left to die waiting in emergency rooms.
